One of the most celebrated paintings in the Glasgow Museums collection, Salvador Dalí's Christ of St John of the Cross was acquired by the city in 1952 in a purchase that famously caused considerable controversy at the time. Today it is regarded as one of Glasgow's most important and much-loved works.
What makes this particularly unusual from a licensing perspective is that Glasgow Museums acquired the copyright to the painting along with the work itself.
The dramatic composition, strong graphic form and extraordinary provenance make this an intriguing option for carefully considered art-led products, from prints and puzzles to stationery, books and premium homewares.
