Noolibird
Nula Shearing is a textile designer and printmaker working under the name Noolibird. With a background in textile design and surface pattern, her work is rooted in a lifelong love of craft, pattern and making.
Her designs begin as linocuts, paintings or drawings, inspired by the natural world around her—hares, foxes, owls and botanical forms drawn from the landscapes of the South Downs. These are translated into beautifully crafted stamps, combining a hand-made aesthetic with strong, repeatable design.
Nula’s work has a natural affinity with the craft and paper markets, and her stamped imagery has been successfully licensed for greeting cards. With print and hand-crafted aesthetics continuing to resonate strongly in licensing, her work offers excellent potential across cards, stationery and creative products.
Based in Brighton, Nula has been creating and producing her Noolibird stamp collections for over a decade, building a distinctive and highly recognisable body of work that celebrates the joy of making.
