Jane Human

Jane Human is a painter and printmaker known for her vibrant use of colour and strong sense of place. Her work balances representation and abstraction, capturing landscape through expressive mark-making, texture, and rhythm.

After graduating from Brighton Polytechnic, Jane worked for many years as an illustrator with leading design agencies and publishers, creating painterly, fine art-led commissions. Highlights include work for Burberry’s flagship London store, a mural and book jacket for Anton Mosimann, and imagery for packaging including wine labels.

Today, her extensive archive is widely licensed across greeting cards, paper products, paint-by-numbers kits, and bestselling jigsaw puzzles. Her work combines artistic depth with broad commercial appeal, translating effortlessly across a range of formats.

Jane lives and works in rural Norfolk.
