Emma Brownjohn
Emma Brownjohn is a painter known for her vibrant, atmospheric work, where expressive colour and layered mark-making create a strong sense of place and narrative. Her compositions often explore the contrast between city, coast and countryside, capturing fleeting moments, changing seasons and human interaction.
She studied Fine Art Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, graduating with a first-class degree, and went on to work as a freelance illustrator and muralist, with commissions from clients including Harrods, Coca-Cola, Penguin and Boots. She has also written and illustrated her own series of children’s books.
