Elina Ellis
Elina Ellis is an illustrator known for her lively, characterful drawings, full of warmth, humour and observation. Particularly skilled at capturing older characters, her work has a gentle wit and emotional depth that brings everyday moments to life.
Born in Ukraine, Elina originally studied economics before pursuing her passion for drawing, going on to complete an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University. She was awarded the Macmillan Prize in 2017, recognising her talent for picture book storytelling.
Working across both digital and traditional media, Elina creates engaging illustrations with strong personalities and narrative charm. She also has a strong and active presence on Instagram, where she shares her work with a large following and connects with a wide audience.
Her work translates beautifully into licensing, particularly for greeting cards and gift products, where her expressive characters and observational humour have strong commercial appeal.
