Catalina Echeverry

Catalina is an illustrator whose light-hearted, warm style is rooted in her background in children’s publishing, often bringing a gentle sense of narrative to her work.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, she now lives in London with her Northern Irish husband and their three daughters. Before settling in the UK, Catalina spent time in Italy studying graphic design, before moving to Cambridge to complete an MA in Children’s Book Illustration. She has worked in children’s publishing ever since.

Having illustrated over 20 books published internationally, Catalina is rarely without her sketchbook and draws inspiration from everyday life, capturing moments with charm and spontaneity.

Her playful, character-led approach lends itself naturally to licensing, with her work particularly well suited to greeting cards and related products.
