Brian Sweet
Brian Sweet is an established illustrator whose work has evolved from traditional seascapes into a distinctive, flatter graphic style that has proved highly popular in recent years. After studying at Somerset College of Art in the early 1960s, he began his career on London’s Fleet Street before going on to work with many major publishers.
With a strong retro influence reminiscent of 1930s railway posters, his work has a clean, evocative quality that translates well into product. His designs have been successfully licensed across cards, stationery and calendars, as well as for promotional work with brands including Clarks Shoes and West Country Butter.
A keen gardener with a particular fondness for roses, Brian often draws inspiration from the natural world.
