Anna Chernyshova
Anna Chernyshova is an illustrator known for her lively, character-led work, full of warmth, humour and just the right touch of narrative. Trained in academic drawing in her native Russia, she went on to complete an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, where she developed a more expressive and playful visual language.
Her work combines confident drawing with looser mark-making and simplified forms, influenced by Soviet and mid-century American illustration. She draws inspiration from everyday life, capturing people, animals and moments with charm and personality.
Her engaging characters and gently narrative style translate beautifully into licensing, making her work particularly well suited to greeting cards and gift products.
