Alex T. Smith is an award-winning illustrator and author, known for his lively characters and strong sense of storytelling. A graduate of Coventry University, his work is shaped by keen observation—fuelled by a love of people-watching, eavesdropping and everyday moments.
Creator of the much-loved Claude series, Alex brings warmth, humour and narrative into every image. This natural storytelling quality translates perfectly into product, and his work has been consistently licensed for greetings cards.
When not working, Alex can usually be found sketching, reading, or enjoying cake and a good cup of tea—under the watchful eye of his three mischievous dogs.
