25th April 2013: Art House Licensing Director Jehane Boden Spiers is busy with preparations for an exhibition curated in her home 'The Yellow House has Moved' as part of the Artist’s Open House Brighton Festival May 2013:

You can’t miss The Yellow House! One of Brighton’s most popular houses has moved across the city to open in 2013. Born & bred Brighton artist Jehane Boden Spiers opens her new home this year with a stellar mix of professional artists from Brighton and across the UK. This will be the 8th time that Jehane has curated ‘The Yellow House’and the 2013 show promises to be as popular as ever.

‘The Yellow House has Moved’ is open each weekend in May from 12 – 6pm and offers a sunny westerly garden (Sat/Sun 4/5, 11/12, 18/19, 25/26)

Juliet Bawden from Creative Salvage recently praised The Yellow House as being ‘one of the best craft events in the country’ and Arts correspondent William Cook recently interviewed Jehane for an article in The Spectator…watch this space!

Amongst the artists exhibiting at The Yellow House this year, make sure not to miss Paul Thurlby’s Alphabet prints from his book for Templar which recently won the highly prestigious Opera Prima award at Bologna Book fair.

Collected by many, Emma Brownjohn’s dreamy and atmospheric paintings will be transforming the front room in 2013

Also showing for the first time at The Yellow House is paper artist Helen Musselwhite whose inventive and cleverly detailed 3-D environments are reminiscent of childhood and the world of Lewis Carroll.

Ken Eardley’s ceramics are like gold dust! If you want to add to your collection, The Yellow House is the place to go to stock up on these highly collectable and desirable functional ceramics from jugs to cakestands.

An old favourite at The Yellow House - enter the magical world of sculptural ceramicist Jane Muir whose figures and ceramic animals offer a unique and humorous view of the world.

Angela Harding’s printmaking is a joy to see, her exquisite use of line to create lino-cuts and silk-screens are exhbitied across galleries nationally.

Jehane Boden Spiers will be showing a range of limited edition giclee prints and embroidered textiles as well as hosting and making sure all the Open House visitors are happy!

Last but not least, The Yellow House is offering an exclusive opportunity to see the work of Swiss ceramicist Natalie Pedetti Prack who has created a range of garden ceramics especially for the show, including especially commissed ceramic yellow houses!

Round the corner from the winner of Sustainable Pub of the Year in 2013 ‘The Preston Park Tavern’ and offers a whole range of culinary delights!
